Our open motto "Les Soeurs Fideles" (The Faithful Sisters) is something we strive to live out every day. Sisterhood is not only about being there for one another and creating a lasting bond; to us, it's about embracing our individual experiences and backgrounds to learn more about the values that bind us together.
Our Sisterhood chair, Shelby Hamm, plans monthly events for members to attend and spend time with each other outside of the classroom. From Palentines celebrations in February, to Arbor Day campus cleanups in April, to all the movie nights and Caf dinner dates in-between, she works to offer many opportunities to grow our chapter community. Chapter members serving on the Sisterhood committee help to plan these events, as well as meet with each member every semester to check in on how they're doing. Acting on one of our values, Love, we value the time we are able to spend with each other in developing personal relationships.
Each year, our Sisterhood committee plans our Sisterhood Retreat. It's a time for our members to come together and laugh, have insightful conversations, engage in relationship-building activities, and appreciate each other! This past year, the Committee created "paper plate awards" for everyone with qualities that represented each person the best.
