Executive Committee

Katherine Young

President

Hi I’m Kat! I’m majoring in Biology- Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior track with a minor in Philosophy and Environmental Studies. My role as President is to lovingly represent our chapter to the Transy community as well as foster the incredible leadership of our chapter within our executive committee and beyond. Being the President of Phi Mu’s Delta Theta chapter is my ultimate offering to the sisterhood that brought me in, grew me, and loved me these past three years. Sharing my talents for leadership in this position could never fully express my gratitude for Phi Mu. Our community as women is dependent on our collaboration, communication, and shared goals to inspire achievement. We need not fear our differences when our common link is love, honor, and truth! I am proud to embrace the role as a leader and member of the Greek community.

Sydney Klingensmith

Vice President of Committees

I'm majoring in English with minors in Philosophy and Political Science, and I'm from Columbus, Ohio! Joining Phi Mu has been one of the greatest decisions I have made since coming to Transy, and I am so honored to serve my chapter as VP of Committees! I work to ensure that every member serves our chapter through their committee involvement, and that our members plan campus events that are the best they can be! I uphold Phi Mu's commitment to excellence by aiding members whenever or wherever I am needed.

Alexa Valarezo

Treasurer

My name is Alexa and I am a sophomore living in Louisville, KY. I am a double major in religion and mathematics. It is because of my connection to math that guided me into the role of Treasurer. As treasurer I am responsible for managing committee budgets, creating the chapter budget, distributing funds when needed, billing members, and other tasks as needed. I couldn't have found a better way to serve the chapter that has helped shaped me into the woman I am. Phi Mu is constantly encouraging me to embody love, honor, and truth and be a leader in other aspects of my life.

Caroline Hawk

Secretary

I am a Biochemistry major and French minor from Louisville, KY, and if you ever need me I can be found on the second floor of BSC. I chose Biochem because I love chemistry, but I am also pre-vet and this major married the two worlds together. As secretary, I am responsible for maintaining organization and communication in our chapter. I keep meeting minutes at every meeting, which are submitted to nationals every week. I am also in charge of announcement emails and updating the GIN and Google calendars. Another aspect of my position is attendance, in which I keep track of the total number of members present and review absences.Phi Mu to me is an unconditionally loving support system of sisters. I have been so fortunate to have made many close friends through our bond. These women help me to stay positive and motivated, as academics can seem to weigh me down.

The safety of my sisters is my priority! Phi Mu means everything to me! It has given me a place to belong during my time at Transylvania and I have met some incredible women because of this organization.
